Black Sabbath featuring Tony Iommi Seventh Star
Voto:
I've always had a soft spot for that offbeat Glenn Hughes, and of course, his voice is magnificent once again... I would say that however you feel about this album (which carries only the name of the Sabbath), it is by far the most beautiful of the period following "heaven & hell." Calling it a masterpiece seems excessive, but it contains a monstrous feeling, and above all, several tracks are sung divinely and played even better...

"Amen" is a wonderful track, and "bianco sporco" one of the best albums of the band.

How to describe this album? How did Bono discover electronics and all this glamour? A mix between T-Rex and Clock Dva? Oh right, he fell in love with Bowie... "lemon" is kitsch but not bad... Johnny Cash guesting in a country tinged with electronics (?)... there are also Kraftwerk, hooray... not a bad record, a transition towards a dimension that becomes less and less convincing. I'd say very global.
U2 All That You Can't Leave Behind

Rece of the celebration of a myth buried for decades... I found myself at a friend's house, and I wanted to hurt myself, listening to it in full, multiple times... it's incredible how Bono is able to sift through every musical genre, forming an indigestible hybrid, as bland as the songs are... the album is truly horrendous, unimaginable for anyone who appreciated "War" or "The Joshua Tree," but also for those who valued the not necessarily positive shift of "Pop."
I won't go on any further, but giving five stars to such an abomination is genuinely shocking... congratulations, you must really be a die-hard fan to have fully appreciated such an indefensible album.
Pink Floyd The Dark Side of the Moon
Voto:
It's pointless, Dark side... it will never excite me, whether it's for the pompous progressive of Us and Them or a track like Money (which, after all, aside from the slot-machine gimmick, is just a pop song), but it has never touched my heart, like all those albums meticulously crafted to be (or seem) masterpieces... I still prefer the early Floyd, from Atom Heart Mother and More, less inclined to the spectacularization of sound and the emphasis on music. Anyway, "Time" is extraordinary.
Deftones Around The Fur
Voto:
I repeat, the groups you mention are included in the new-metal melting pot, but they are not exactly heavy metal bands. Korn do remixes, and they are also clearly influenced by the new wave of the eighties, as well as hard rock, unless one wants to acknowledge the huge influence that bands like Depeche Mode and similar had on Deftones... that "around the fur" is a very heavy album is another matter.

Oh, I almost forgot to rate the record.

Just mention metal and metalheads... this is a magnificent album by an extraordinary band and it can appeal to anyone with a musical sensitivity above average, regardless of genres...
Jeff Buckley Grace
Voto:
He doesn't like Tool or Jeff Buckley... believe me, it's really rare to find an idiot like that, not because he questions them but because you dared to write such a "review"... I would like to hang you with my own hands. I can't even imagine what your musical tastes are at this point.
