Great album... we should talk about it again in fifty years Lou forever

Definitely more balanced than the previous "banditi" (which wasn't bad but made a few too many commercial concessions), the new album moves even further away from hip hop, revitalizing a sound that was at risk of becoming mannered. While the notable "conflitto" reminded me of Shellac and all of American independent rock, this album brings the group back to their more fitting dimension. For better or for worse, as I sometimes perceive a bit of self-satisfaction, a militancy that at times feels a bit integralist in its positions... however, it's the overall substance that proves effective. "bella da morire" is beautiful, a sarcastic invective against war, but the masterpiece is probably "in periferia," a track that many local punk bands would gladly steal. Personally, I find the umpteenth anti-prohibition anthem ("un cannone me lo merito") rather tedious, as it represents all the clichés of social center bands. Really, Fini and the others must be laughing heartily when they hear certain songs that aim to be polemical and transgressive but only evoke hilarity... As for the rest, the frontal assaults are back in great shape, and that's all I need.

very impressive, also because it's hard to categorize them... one moment they seem like an emo-core band and the next like an orchestra that would make Mercury Rev pale in comparison... definitely one of the most bewildering and unconventional bands on the planet.
Black Sabbath Paranoid

Ok, Black Sabbath (anonym) is the first doom track, but to say that "Planet Caravan" is something totally different seems excessive to me. Anyway, I'll reiterate, Iommi remains the greatest of all, the riffs he has created (I think of the jazz-rock in "Wicked World," for example) are undeniable, and at least he wasn't busy wanking off with classical training on the guitar like a certain Malmsteen.

Uh, I meant "lateranus," not "collateral"... and body count (click error)

It could have been a gangst-metal album in the vein of the boy count; it could have been industrial in the manner of the great Ministry; it could have been less cacophonous and more direct. It could have been many things, but aside from the title track with its obligatory tribute to Johnny Cash in the video and the excellent "Shoot Me Again," it just doesn't work. Blame the production and many other things. The nephews are more convincing (if "Some Kind of Monster" has something of Tool, well, it's much better to get "Aenima" and "Collateral"). But I still harbor some hope. The live act in Padua, despite the usual malcontents, was excellent... Cliff Burton and all the other "defenders of the faith" should think before they speak: we can't stand the metal conservatives, especially regarding a band that, there's no denying it, swept away a lot of heavy "shit" in its time. Don’t say the Black Album is a bluff: try creating a riff like that of "Whenever I May Roam" and then tell me... And so even phenomena like Cradle of Filth (talented musicians, we can't deny it) need to be understood...

Great record, no doubt about it... these two queens really know how to do it (it's no secret that they're gay)... never before in these years has electronics been so subversive, anarchic, and provocative—who would have ever thought?

Ministry forever... And also Tool and System of a Down. But I still hope for Metallica, maybe with the next album.

Here we go again... the rock that needs to be elevated, the progressive (which I, for one, didn't feel was missing, quite the opposite...), we only needed Pavarotti to ruin often incredible songs with the orchestra... those who say that the black album is crap have understood nothing ("whenever I may roam" have you heard it???) The worst came after, in fact.
