It's a beautiful island where they filmed the movie... a true little Eden... even though it gets stifling hot in the summer and is completely deserted in the winter... there are a couple of atypical villages for the Balearic Islands, it really feels like having a bit of Mexico... unfortunately, they keep forcing more rushed hotels before we find ourselves in the crowd, goodbye.
P.S. Sorry if I've been a bit critical about the final cut, you know I'm a nostalgic.

I want to provoke: "a true milestone in the history of horrors" (cf. New Musical Express regarding the final cut) Don't they understand anything about music either?

But dear Zappa, to deny that the true masterpieces of the Floyd are the first two... come on... the piper at the gates... was an unrepeatable manifesto of psychedelia. I get it, I get it, you're a fan of the second wave, you don't really like the trips that much.

You can't deny that with this album, among other things splendid on the first side, the Floyd have transitioned to grandiloquent rock, to the apotheosis of themselves, to progressive... I find it hard today to listen to "us and them" or "brain damage," with those emphatic choruses; I can't stand them, what can I do? Perhaps the time that has passed means something, perhaps it has aged, but the masterpiece of the Floyd remains The Piper at the Gates of Dawn. In my opinion, Wish You Were Here has wonderful moments, but then it loses itself with that dull track, "Welcome to the Machine," which can be a bit infuriating. And anyway, mine was a priori observation: masterpieces are a personal and individual matter; when something is celebrated endlessly, it ends up becoming tiresome, and perhaps it’s appropriate to reassess them. Dark Side, whether you believe it or not, is as loved as it is hated. But I could give you other examples: Does Sgt. Pepper by the Beatles hold as much value as Revolver? Isn’t the best album by Lennon the underappreciated Plastic Ono Band compared to Imagine and Mind Games? U2 with War in comparison to The Joshua Tree, which is also magnificent... and I could go on.

The guide, a certain-aged Spaniard, spoke to us about the Floyd with great enthusiasm and this album... she said it reminds her of those boys when they strolled around the island surrounded by all the fans... she made me dream of an era that has unfortunately vanished.

But let me add that when it comes to paranoia, Ian Curtis is something else.

Okay, maybe I was harsh on Waters... but can you tell me what was the point of Radio KAOS? It takes courage to say it's a good album. In reality, almost none of the Floyd has done anything memorable as solo artists; maybe one album and a recent live performance from Waters can be salvaged, but that only revisits – I must say, well – Floyd material. However, I see that no one has lynched me when I said he’s out of tune. Let’s admit that at least this time I’m right: like it or not, he can’t sing for shit.

The guitarist of Bloc Party must have memorized all of The Edge's riffs; let's hope the bp don't end up like U2.
