I know, Francis, that it was written; in fact, the post was ironic and aimed at lightening the ongoing debate between you and Iko. It’s clear that you both know plenty about Bowie, so I don’t see the reason to fight so much. After all, it’s music, guys... just music! Instead of using the kilometers of lines to insult each other, use them to spread your knowledge on the subject, and we would all be infinitely grateful! Cheers!
The Hives Your New Favourite Band

The Hives don't excite me, but I don't dislike them either. I've listened to the tracks from this album several times, but they don't leave much of an impression on me. Sure, everything is done with grit, but it's so fast and syncopated that it flows quickly away, leaving me with little or nothing. Their attitude is definitely stage-ready, where the energetic and wild songs encourage moshing and audience frenzy, and where their stylish look stands out impeccably, yet nothing groundbreaking. The length of the album is optimal in my opinion; had it been longer, it would have lost cohesion and introduced a hint of boredom. The review is more than good and says everything there is to say about the band and the album. P.S.: after the launch of Oasis, falling into the arms of McGee's Creation is the best thing that can happen to a band seeking success. Cheers!

I'm listening to James Brown... but it doesn't matter, I was more interested in knowing: what drugs was Bowie using during the famous American tour that, as is now established, inspired the writing of the album? It seems to me an important detail that no one has taken the trouble to highlight, so for the sake of completeness of information and to help me/us understand in what mental state David was in during the writing of the lyrics and music, I would appreciate it if someone could satisfy this curiosity of mine in order to fully grasp the meaning of the album. Thank you and Cheers!

Don't send the comments... ahrghhh! Anyway, I was saying that I've never really loved the Manics too much; if I had to choose something, I would lean towards their early works, definitely more pissed off and I dare say also less predictable. I also add that Bradfield's voice doesn't excite me, and perhaps that's why I can't fully enjoy them. The review is excellent and fully conveys the idea, even though Aladdin Sane remains your masterpiece, all strictly IMHO. Cheers!

And now, to lighten the mood, a piece of wisdom from Pino... and if you, when you were a kid, used to make slingshots with a sock and when your mom washed them she asked you: "why, my love, are there always yellow stains at the bottom of the socks?!" you would answer her: "Oh mom, I don’t know, I guess I have acidic sweat..." WELCOME... YOU'RE ONE OF US!!!!!

Moonchild.. my dear, I certainly wasn't defending Francis (who, by the way, is not mine..) and I didn't mean to offend anyone, least of all Iko, heaven forbid. In fact, I advised Francis not to resort to insults and Iko to be a little more respectful of others' work and tastes.. then they can do as they please, I'm not Father Ralph. If you listen to Zoo di 105, you'll discover the origin of the nickname..
