Guys, sorry for my ignorance, but... who is Steve Lukather?! From the way you talk about him, he must be a guitar deity, but I'd like to know more. Either way, who cares! One of the few nice things I attributed to Slash isn't even his... maybe that's why he has never been able to play it live properly.

The important thing is that it’s his attitude and not a lack of ability.. and anyway I believe that their sound, as it is structured, does not imply a rejection of the technique you mentioned.. but I could be completely wrong, anyway the live result imho is not exceptional.

The review seems overly fan-driven, and while I understand the desire to praise one’s idols, it reveals a lack of critical sense towards them, making it somewhat unreliable for the reader. Regarding the content of the album, I must say this one is the one I like the most, but the rest feels very much like something made to amass mountains of money. As for the greatness of the band members, I would say there are better ones out there; Slash’s epic fluffs during live performances are well-known, although I do acknowledge his great guitar insights in the studio. In my opinion, this album barely reaches a passing grade.

I'll tell you how they manage to perform their songs live... they do it painfully because, musically speaking, Meg (I think that's what she's called) is a dog; I truly believe she's strategically positioned by the record label to create that air of mystery around the relationship between the two, brothers, husband and wife, ex-wife, husband and wife, lovers, which generates a lot of free publicity. Only Jack White is worthy of praise from an artistic point of view; in fact, he plays most of the parts in the studio (I would say all of them...). The album is excellent, even if 7 Nation Army, imho, is the only one that has that something extra.

This record fills me with sadness.. too dark.. too much. I don’t like it.

I almost forgot the ratings, and in the case of the album, it's 5+++++++++!

This record could charge 50 euros, but it would be worth buying! It's simply fantastic!

That's why it feels somewhat forced and quite artificially angry. The mystery was there, and it was the market to which this record was destined. And obviously, by reflection, also to the sheep-like little Italy that thinks if the record goes to England, then it's strong! At least the product isn't scandalous.
