to me it seems a bit too radio-friendly and I greatly prefer the more experimental works yankee hotel foxtrot and a ghost is born. of course it remains a work of quality, that’s for sure.

now even bossanova and trompe le monde are no longer good enough. let's be picky. because they are only great albums and not two more masterpieces like surfer rosa and doolittle.
well...a poor indierocker has to churn out masterpieces one after another like bread.
if bossanova or trompe le monde were released today, they would be album of the year given the poor competition.

Someone like Jovanotti can only achieve success in Italy, a country where words like songwriting, personality, arrangements, production, and sounds are completely unknown. As voodoomiles says, Jovanotti has no talent beyond standing out with one of the worst voices ever recorded in the history of music.
