The Kinks Muswell Hillbillies

a very beautiful review for another masterpiece by the Kinks. I also have a weakness for alcohol... fantastic... like Oklahoma City, Complicated Life. Ray Davies has created an extraordinary album, managing to appropriate American stylistic elements in an absolutely personal way. Anyway, Face to Face is also essential in their discography.
The Kinks Arthur

good review but if it’s not 5 stars then... compared to what’s out today... unfortunately the kinks have never received the recognition they deserved
The Kinks Lola Versus Powerman And The Moneygoround, Part One
Voto:
Great Ray. This isn't the best but it's a good album with some gems like this time tomorrow, lola, and strangers above all.
St. Vincent Actor
Voto:
Oh yes, it's not bad on all marrow and actor out of work, really very beautiful.
Asobi Seksu Hush
Voto:
too bad this is the worst album by asobi seksu and ultimately quite pointless... much better are their other two.

And anyway, they have revived a model that had never been revisited before, from a band that released only one album and a few EPs. Let's say that the world can also endure having two albums inspired by the same aesthetic standards since it has tolerated thousands of similar bands to The Strokes, who in turn were inspired by the VU et al.
Wild Beasts Two Dancers

one of the best albums of 2009. much more mature compared to their debut, which for me was too chaotic. here they are drier and more minimal. the review lacks a crucial reference to the past that I believe is essential to mention: The Smiths and Morrissey. they have enough class to be original, but The Smiths are definitely present in this.

and the songs. if they are a tarot I don't know what isn't in the year 2009 and also in the previous ones

mmm.... it seems to me that targetski understands better than fiquata their relationship with the YMG. It really seems exaggerated to label them as a cover band; the YMG adopt a more minimalist approach in arrangements and production than in sounds and songs. Anyway, de gustibus, for goodness' sake.

Well, I don't even know what emo means, the album is nice, it's a debut, as such maybe a bit raw but it's one of the best things I've heard lately.
