What do we do, we then form a new group on deB, like "The Followers of Onan"?

Don't linger on unnecessary delays, okay?

Even when it is asserted that the initial ternary of "Four Letter Word" decisively recalls the Harrison-like accompaniment of "All My Loving"... Don't you think that's a bit of a stretch?

This is how it’s done, concise, quick, not overly verbose. Nice review, five stars, but one for the album. Bye, Matteo!

The album is not bad at all; in fact, as already noted, it is played better and sung better, the imprint of the Minister can be felt, in my opinion....
Of course, it’s tough times for anyone who wants to call themselves a singer-songwriter, huh? Brondi is not at all the latest disappointment; it also depends on how high we set the bar, and it's useless to keep it at the levels of thirty or forty years ago. It’s only our need to define someone as the new De Gregori or the new Battiato.
Sure, our disenchantment with the artist can also influence our judgment, and ultimately a healthy dose of snobbery might help....
LLDCE, in my opinion, continues on its own path, assuming it has one planned, and it's still in good company (like Canali and Dragogna, for example). Today, the time frame for defining a "singer-songwriter" career is certainly more extended than in the past, and Brondi is no exception, as it is no longer mandatory for an artist to indicate a path they want to follow or publicly set a goal to reach.
Maybe we were expecting from him, but also from others, a breakthrough album that would eliminate doubts and uncertainties on one side while projecting them into the most blatant "mainstream" on the other.... No, it's not like that anymore; with post-2000 singer-songwriters, I think we have to settle for better and less successful albums, but, you know, still more or less all at the same level... and Vasco Brondi is certainly not the worst in this regard...

This girl is quite talented, she has ideas, she carries herself, and she even has a certain entourage and already a following, but she has chosen a compositional regression towards the tones that GrantNicholas generously defines as "band" and more prosaically, however, veers towards the mainstream (a generous definition, huh?), to widen her audience since her message/musical style, within the realm of current Italian singer-songwriter music, risked being compressed between other realities and, all in all, also misunderstood, perhaps ignored. You can't deny that the album flows well, with accents still "indie" and a desire to please a bit of everyone, but as always, this comes at the cost of credibility. If then, as announced, she joins the jury of XFactor, she risks even more "burning" her image and in a way different from what happened to Agnelli, who at least reached that audience after years of "honest profession"....

As always, I forget the stars... 4 for the review and 5 for the album, thanks, Ste!
