Ahahaah, "The Saturday of the Village" with the redemption of Giacomo, another delicious and evocative page. I reiterate, leave that old lech "$(sfascia carrozze)" and his metal listens alone, it's this that we like!

If I think about how drastically our ability to memorize has diminished today, all delegated to calculators, PCs, or other electronic gadgets that 'lift' us from thinking, I feel a sense of despair. Quoting Plato again, time inexorably leads toward the absolute alienation of man, towards a distorted and disoriented view of reality, like in the 'myth of the cave'.
