It's a pleasure to read your analyses of the solar triad. Then, you play it modestly, but you argue with consummate skill and self-irony. "Their beloved blues," you wrote. Eh! And yours, isn't it? Great! You're way ahead. PS And to think I was so naïve as to wonder what you had gone to see in Paris. Sigh.

Great review. I'm not very familiar with the genre, but I recently watched La Città Incantata and I really enjoyed it.

Beautifully written for a truly extravagant work. Impeccable presentation.

I really didn't know this compilation, renowned authors like Fripp, Wyatt, Residents, Partridge,... It would have been nice to have the Minutemen as well.

Your review is also beautiful, engaging, and knowledgeable, Sergio. As for a rating, I would give the maximum to both. I'm not familiar with the album in question. I don't have the means to say which of the two has better captured the perspective on the work. I'm not a fan of Tull; I only have Aqualung (and also A, but I often forget about it). From what you write, you share the underlying idea that the LP was a missed opportunity, a waste of high-quality materials. This says a lot about the genesis of many albums, which, however, seem to belong to the past. Today, there's more of an impression of good first take/let's fill 70 minutes/nothing goes to waste.

I like how you tell the stories of the Tull albums. You put in passion, which is contagious because it’s genuine, knowledge, because you place the songs in the context of their conception/preparation in the studio. Then you add so many anecdotes about the musicians. I'm not a fan of Jethro; I only have Aqualung, but I read you willingly. As for the formal inaccuracies, I don’t pay attention to them, considering your style; let me use the term "colloquial." It’s a bit like listening to someone talk about music they love, and that’s always nice (if you know and appreciate at least a bit that band). I don’t vote for you because you asked for it.

They are not very original, somewhere between the early CCCP and the very first Meat Puppets ("nice," but far from those models). You are very original for a review, except for that artist's sandwich. Bolzaniani vs. Bolognesi, Spaetlze vs. Lasagne...

Aloha Pin and Deniz.

Nice review, well written and engaging! I'm listening to the proposal with great pleasure. Hard bop! Hard bop!

Everything is very beautiful, Coe. The garage scene you evoke and characterize at the beginning, with 13th and Sonics, "dirty, bare, raw, and therefore beautiful" is legendary. Well done. I know very little about the Von.
