I owe more to Devo than to Devoto, to whom I am devoted (x TMC telemontecarlo/this mortal coil-1st lp/3rd track). I hope Claw Hammer, or "crab hammer", can break through as much as the de-evolved, the de-eviated par excellence. But your review is promising, like courteous and honorable preliminaries. This band moves, goes back and forth, between Beefheart and The Ramones???

Examination and beautifully incisive prose. You are a certainty, Takanibu. There's just one problem: go back to your old avatar. This album is remarkable, rich in inventiveness, but one of its limits, and perhaps of post-rock in general, is a certain individualism, a lack of real communicativeness beyond a labyrinthine disorientation within oneself. It's just my impression, of course... An aesthetic that seems to me devoid of physicality and self-indulgent.

Fifty years and still going strong, I Dream Syndicate, it would be a shame.

I don't know the guy, and given these references... the review, on the other hand, has a good tone.

Your approach to the artist is always very personal and heartfelt. So true and genuine. Well done, Conte! I listened to the "promotional" piece and it has many merits.

Damn. You wrote well. This is a great record, I didn't know it was by Transizione. I thought it was by Billy Bragg. Anyway, nice. My favorites are The Marriage and Levi Stubbs Tears.

Ok. Nice review. Masterpiece also And Then Nothing Can Tourned..., which certainly does not lack coherence. I wouldn’t have talked about schizophrenia, but rather about a double soul or eclecticism (as you did at the end). Totally agree on highlighting Detouring America with horns!

"Something between a sleepless night and the school bell at noon." This is one of the best comments I've ever read on the site. Huge shoutout to Luludia!!! The pop-punk abstractism, not yet suffocating and claustrophobic, of the album confuses me and sometimes makes me feel like it's the apex of their catalog (since it's a debut). Special mention for the cover, one of the most beautiful ever: The three appliances represent the three imaginary boys. Once there were symbols! How cool!

We really miss your column! Beautiful page, well written as always. This one has a bittersweet taste...

Not bad Nikki Lane, who moves effortlessly between vintage Country and retro Americana. In her case, you can’t really say that anyone can outshine her. Excellent review by Soto, as always! The initial setting is beautiful. Since you appropriately brought up Neko Case, whom I adore, I’ll tell you that - personally - Nikki is not on her level either vocally or in terms of songwriting.
