"What A Terrible World, What A Beautiful World," while well-played and well-arranged, didn't blow me away... in fact, after a while, it even bored me.

I thank everyone for the shout-out and for the kind words. But doesn’t the Gino on the cover remind you of Jack Nicholson? It totally does to me.

In my opinion, it is precisely the drama of the Shoah and deportation that instills awe, respect (I wouldn’t say admiration), and horror. I felt the same while reading "Se questo è un uomo." These themes are too vast, too brutal, and cruel to easily manage on a psychological level. I couldn't conceive the idea of being comfortable on the couch or in bed while reading the book.

Dear Stan, now everything is perfect... but "mellow gold" and "odelay" (my favorites and completely different from "sea change") are so rich in ideas that they definitely deserve a listen... I agree with your dissent, the world and values of the mentioned artists are too distant. I owe you a crown for the trouble (but I won't tell you which one!)...
