I too have read some insights online: the painting was born as a protest against the regime of Francisco Franco in Spain, and then took on the meaning of evil, the monster that advanced and trampled everything (as J&R says, Nazism).

It's a glass half full (or half empty), there are interesting points, albeit at alternating phases; I believe that at least 4 or 5 tracks are worth mentioning, while others strongly recall the traditional melodic vein. All in all, it's not a record to dismiss. Moreover, it must be acknowledged that in 1972, in Italy, "Storia di un minuto" (PFM), "Banco del Mutuo Soccorso" and "Darwin" (Banco), "Uomo di pezza" (Orme), "Azimut" (Perigeo), "Lo scemo e il villaggio" (Delirium), "Fetus" and "Pollution" (Battiato, which has been reassessed with hindsight), and other albums I can't recall right now were released, not to mention "qatzi." The "progressives" had good reason to snub the Dik Dik, although for me, it remains a dignified piece of work.

The album is real; it was an incredible success, but they chose this not particularly exciting single, at least musically. On the LP, there are definitely far better tracks. The theme about the legend of Icarus is interesting. 3.5

Who has to name names? Me or Ermetico? And then I only speak in the presence of my lawyer.

The usual pitiful, pointless, destructive jabs year after year against our music that never lead to anything... What a drag. I get Ermetico70, he’s not entirely wrong and objectively between 1995 and 2000, Grignani released 3-4 albums that were better than many. It’s also true that Grignani has made a mess of things over the past 10 years, but is it a blasphemy to say that Grignani’s early work was excellent or is it just that Italian music and certain artists are always crap?

I fully agree with comments 3 and 4 from MADCAT and HIGHLANDE. I have nothing else to add.

On the 4, one can unashamedly attribute it to some other of his works, but without rhetoric, I too am convinced that a 5 could fit this film.

But does 9 x 9 equal 81?

Very pleasant review, but honestly, I am not familiar with these sonatas from his adolescent period.

Oh Carmen, I missed this review. Great piece; laborers, poor souls, gypsies... They could bring it back in these times...
