Honestly, I think Mia could have avoided using the music from "Ghost Rider" by Suicide for the track "Born Free." Of course it's a great piece! It's neither citationism nor good taste, so that's a mark down. The album is very dark and since I've only had it for a few months, it's still early, but I think anything more than 3 is too much.

unlike 19lunghezze who always says so, I actually bought the record, as promised. in German, there’s only the linked song. another heartfelt thank you to the author of the review; without you, I wouldn't have known about the release. I felt younger listening to the LP (by the way, in red edition!). thanks again. thank you

...ps: and then also rozz williams was 16 years old at the time of only theatre of pain :)

You are always interesting. However, their previous album is distributed by Audioglobe, so it's not hard to find. What can I say? I'll try to listen to them, even though their young age makes me a bit skeptical. They remind me of a duo of 13-year-olds that the now outdated Mute Records signed... but who knows: maybe precisely because they’re young they’ll have something more to say. Who knows?

I liked the review. I agree, the first three are great, then I was disappointed by this is what... and I fondly remember happy seattle, really epic. But when I bought something on CD again, I only repurchased the first one. In flowers, I really missed ja whobble, and metal box or second edition was too long and unnecessary, at least in my opinion. I'd say that first issue is perfect. Well done.

senselessly long review for a nice little album. and then HEY YOU, aren't you going to include it? or do you only know the CD version?

...it's interesting that the album starts in the same way as d.o.a. by Throbbing Gristle... zeitgeist?

It's not that I discovered rock this morning... :) It's just that back in 1998 I loved certain things to death... for me, it will be a way to remember that period, that's all. And let's be honest: Bikini Kill, Julie Ruin, and Liz Phair musically suck! But I would save the little Sleater-Kinney... and besides, come on, I can't just listen to Royal Trux and Xenakis all the time :)

It might be that the review was ironic, that the album is crap, but... IT'S BEAUTIFUL... I just ordered it (on vinyl, of course) and it will arrive next week. Yes, I'm an idiot, but I loved that video that was posted; it makes me feel 10 years younger when I listened to Julie Ruin, Liz Phair, Sleater-Kinney, Bikini Kill, etc. etc. Ah, too bad I was feeling like crap, but with this album, I can remember those dramatic years of mine... thank you, reviewer!!! You made me smile this morning when I didn't expect to smile anymore. :) 5 stars for the album on trust.
