If necessary, I give a hand (armed) to Chuck Norris. But I'm afraid they might even like each other.
John Coltrane The John Coltrane Quartet Plays
Voto:
The beauty of Debaser is that when reviewing a work by Coltrane, one ends up arguing about Miles Davis. And the completists of Davis get into a heated debate, having followed his artistic journey of highs and lows, and I’m surprised that to justify their obsessions, they talk about a Davis period that overshadows others, ignoring that when he was playing electric and mainstream, the term jazz was no longer part of our musical horizon.
Herbie Hancock Dis Is da Drum
Voto:
We Davis fans care about Herbie - the keyboardist and not the Beetle (but also, yes) - the one from "Directions in Music Live at Massey Hall" and "River: The Joni Letters." When it gets cheesy, even with high-quality company, you look beyond.
AA.VV. Café Sputnik - Electronic Exotica from Russia
Voto:
Upon returning from the Red Reserve of Italy, I eagerly read about Sputnik & Vodka (I prefer the Swedish Absolut), and I go in search of Ol'ga Kurylenko, hoping she doesn't practice weightlifting or Greco-Roman wrestling.

Well done, Dr. Cappio, you surprised me! At the start of the sample, I thought it was Joni Mitchell. Nico is the male prequel to Antony Hegarty.

Miles Davis Agharta
Voto:
I expressed myself poorly: Miles knew very well that he would easily win back a loyal audience with My Funny Valentine, as it were, compared to the direction taken, which I believe is "screwed" in on itself, despite being an excellent laboratory of ideas but, clearly exuberant yet without joy, not always filled with feeling and appeal (in certain passages, Pangea recorded in the evening can be defined as boring for the lesser energy and greater absence of Miles). Neither with the ballads nor with the electric turn could he aspire to an audience numerically fitting of a rockstar.
Miles Davis Agharta
Voto:
Agharta is not exactly "easy." It stems from Miles' internal tension as he wants to leave behind the ballads (which made him famous) for a new path that won't garner significant listening (and Miles wanted a success like Sly & Family Stone or Wonder), nor does it come from jazz enthusiasts. And soon after, silence.
Jovanotti La Mia Moto
Voto:
Tombstone Review. And not just for Jovinotti. From that era, I remember Soundgarden and the grunge crew, a week's worth of stubble and flannel shirts. And two or three girlfriends (not all at once, okay?) fresh out of university. The grade for Cherubino's career.
AA.VV. Bossa n' Roses

Dear Malderecchie, I would say it’s time for us to meet for aperitif hour (Martini cocktail, of course). I’ll bring along the Sony necklace complete with Erotic Lounge - would our friend Nes appreciate the covers too? Later, I’ll read about Jovanotti.
