I thank Editors and De-Utenti for the generous and honest feedback. Nothing prejudicial towards Interpol, just disappointment equal to the expectation. The group is listened to with attention and perplexity, see for example Antics where, as noted by Andrea Silenzi in Musica n° 429 of 23-09-04, in at least three tracks "they draw inspiration" from the Psychedelic Furs “for cadence...or intonation of the singer's voice...to the point that Richard Butler could claim damages.” For me, their best work is with the Black Session of 2004. If they then express the harmless affectation of feeling like rock’n’roll stars and believe themselves to be as famous in America as Guns’n’Roses, well, truly a different time from when the fame of musicians could be compared to that of Jesus Christ...have a good weekend everyone.
