Vasco Rossi Bollicine
Voto:
From the Dictionary of Pop Rock 2002 edition: Bollicine is rated 5 stars, and Vita spericolata "becomes a mass anthem, transforming the storyteller from Zocca into a true prophet, a secular priest amidst prayers of sex, drugs, and Rock'n Roll," while Bollicine is "a central work for the adventure of Italian rock." Authors Enzo Gentile and Cesare G. Romana. What can I say?

I want a rude villa - with a pool full of gin - I want a super made-up blonde - to play hide and seek with - I want a villa where it's never too late - to set off two firecrackers on the beach - I want a villa with showgirls dressed as Sardinian waiters.
And then we'll meet, me, Alfano, and Ghedin - looking for scandalous photos under the cushions - but maybe we'll never find them - and then, dear friends, it will be trouble - my wife furious - the CIA busting in - and the whole world always minding my business, eh.
I want a reckless villa - with Smaila on the piano and Bondi on the clarinet - I want an exaggerated pill - to give me muscles like Obama and Putin - I want a villa where it's never too late - to all dress up as cheetahs - I want to throw bras into a thistle bush.
And then we'll move to Palazzo Grazioli - to eat pizza and beans with the girls - but they'll never digest it - they'll want a diamond or a TV show on Rai.
Each with their book - each with an agent - each will have a recorder to mind my business, eh. I want a rude villa - to marry an unemployed woman - I want a country that doesn't care - and watches the news without flinching - I want a country full of thrushes - I want them blind, mute, and even a bit deaf - I want a country that won't forget about me.

Astro, I’ve never thought of delegitimizing the interpretations of any song; I prefer to keep a bit of "mystery" in the lyrics, but that’s just my personal point of view. Another humble opinion of mine is that we shouldn’t take votes too seriously; in fact, I believe Debaser should be an arena where one learns to receive teasing, jeers, and corrections—healthy for all the music fundamentalists. For the die-hards, there's always Ernesto Assante's blog. Try it to believe it and don't try again.

I would say that a literal interpretation of a poetic expression is of no utility; the context of the song(s) is already rich with meanings. Just try to "translate" the Sunday of the corpses step by step! And yet the message is understandable (or not?). It's even more difficult to review De André... 3 stars for the audacity, with the advice not to attempt it... ever again!

It is a damning review for the sugar, a polite rejection of the career, with which I agree; may it rest in peace in "light music." (not even davis in dune changes lead into gold).
Nils Landgren & Esbjorn Svensson Layers Of Light

As I comment, I’m listening to Leucocyte, the latest work by Svensson in trio. I’ll give it a five-star rating based on trust without knowing the album you’re reviewing, which I will get for myself. Svensson’s works blend different suggestions: in the trio, the foundation is obviously jazz, very atmospheric (in the ECM style), with elements of post-rock, and why not, also prog inspired by King Crimson with heterogeneous rhythmic foundations, held together by a lyrical piano touch. It will appeal to those looking for new substance in jazz, and to those who – in my opinion – believe that in comparison to Radiohead, much more can be done.

with Bowie's Berlin Trilogy. Low, "Heroes," and Lodger (1977-1979), we get to know one of Bowie’s best selves, capable of soaking up the musical moods of the three years. Furthermore, with the live album Stage from 1978, alongside the new Bowie, there are stunning reinterpretations, let's say from the... archive.
