beautiful couple De Lorenzo and Birbabirba...the review of which, beyond Amici, does not go further: in the category of human cases.
Kula Shaker Live @ Ypsigrock Festival, Castelbuono (PA) 09.08.2009

5-star review Super, but in the mouth of the volcano the Kula Shaker, an annoying and pointless band, just like mosquitoes.
The Gun Club Miami
Voto:
@supersoul of course I agree, reiterating the preference for Fire of Love produced by Chris D (Flesh Eaters, I imagine) over Miami produced by C. Stein (Blondie). Thanks for the info.
The Gun Club Miami
Voto:
I prefer Fire of Love, more direct and raw: in Miami the production came in "kicking down the door," smoothing out the sounds. I personally associate the Gun Club with the first Cramps, Generic's Flipper, and the Violent Femmes, a band that, when it comes to demons trying to break free, competes with Robert Johnson!
G//Z/R Plastic Planet
Voto:
I bought the GZR album "convinced" by the quality of the vocalist from Demanufacture by FF, and the background of the band leader, even though the (how many!) metal genres/subgenres are not my favorites.
Kudos to the album, a bit inconsistent, with a nice sound and mixing, while the last track (if I remember correctly) "arpeggiata" I found...terrible!
I found it completely out of place.
Hank Mobley Dippin'

I'm listening to Lee Morgan's The Sidewinder (quintet with Henderson and Higgins), a top 100 of jazz... Caravan is doing a great job in showcasing artists that cannot be missed in an excellent record collection (and not just jazz).
Fanfarlo Reservoir
Voto:
Bowie has spoken highly of Fanfarlo; indeed, these multi-instrumentalists possess a distinctly Scandinavian quality of writing great singles (Ghosts, Comets, Fire Escape, the Walls are Coming Down) while having the flaw of sounding somewhat familiar, yet without offering clear reference points (which are more than one and besides the usual Arcade Fire, I would also mention National, another band in Bowie’s orbit), unlike, say, the Editors, who sound like the Interpol who sound like the Psychedelic Furs, etc... They have a nice sound, with a solid rhythm section featuring a prominently displayed bass (à la Cure), some hints of Byrne in the vocalist scattered here and there, and well complemented by the female voice... a healthy mix for a qualitatively high product, creatively... in line.
Mario Schifano Acerbo
Voto:
Dear reviewer Uxo, do you have any gems about the film shot in 1971 by Mario Schifano "Umano Non Umano" with Carmelo Bene, Mick Jagger, and Keith Richard, Alberto Moravia?... I know it's available online and there are clips on YouTube, but I believe you can share something more with us...
Curzio Malaparte Coppi e Bartali
Voto:
beautiful review, courageous having already discussed Malaparte's book with another Curzio, Maltese, with whom it is - in my opinion - impossible or almost impossible to match in style (although I must say that on debaser I read quite a few reviewers who know how to handle Italian beautifully, and who might be writing who knows where else). great quality!

In this crazy age, we were missing the horror idiots.
