Great review and the book is on my waiting list on my desk (where CDs and books keep piling up… argh); what a shame, darn it, for that small inaccuracy about the Duomo di Milano <completed in 1584>… (actually, as far as I know, its construction spanned several centuries, from the 14th to the 19th, to be precise… not to mention Sagrada Familia!!). Please don't take it the wrong way, you really write well.

Unfortunately, we know how the possibility of a reunion was thwarted in the worst way possible; but perhaps for the Beatles' music... it's better this way. Beyond the personal distance between Lennon and Macca, I find it hard to believe that anything good would have come out of it. It is right that their music ends at the immense Abbey Road; everything that needed to be said was said in a sublime and definitive manner.

Like #2. Then, behind a seemingly polished and detached prose lies (but not even that well anymore) your usual vulgarity. Nothing else to add.

I would have included this in the DeCasi (I haven't listened to the album yet, too many conflicting opinions... I'll wait to gain the right perspective, just a few more weeks...)

(Besides, just the syncopated arpeggio of "A World Apart" would be worth buying the CD for me!)

Look, you’re right, this isn’t a record <that can change the fate of humanity>, but it is very, very beautiful. The only one, along with "A Pleasant Shade of Grey," that I still, occasionally, listen to from Fates Warning. The others bore me very quickly, so I essentially agree with everything you’ve written. The beauty of this album is an extreme refinement that never slips into self-indulgence, and the band’s state of grace at that moment stands out with crisp freshness even today. Those jerks, Dream Theater, could only dream of the class of Fates Warning...

(except that comment #23 is incomprehensible, maybe if you could read it again in Italian...in English, I don't know...)
