Great review... now I'm going to download the album right away so I can judge it...

I forgot to mention one thing: Bonamassa, in my opinion, is truly phenomenal in live performances where the songs gain added value...

Bonomassa is one of the leading figures of the 'new' generation of bluesmen (in Bonomassa's case with clear rock influences), even if this isn't one of his most successful albums; for instance, I prefer Blues Deluxe... The review deserves a high score because the guitarist had the courage to critique an artist who had been overlooked by users of this site until then, but who offers interesting things...

a very nice review for a movie that, in my opinion, is too overrated...

phenomenal album, and I won't waste any more words to describe it: it must be listened to, period.
I just wanted to make a couple of personal reflections:
-every time I hear Jimi is the greatest of all time, an endless sadness always comes over me. How can one define THE GREATEST in a field that is teeming with geniuses left and right? I know you could provide me with a thousand explanations for your assumption (since there’s no objectivity in these matters: for example, one might call Gauss the most important mathematician of all time for the momentum he gave to the subject in the early 1800s, while another could say the same of Cauchy, offering the same reasoning, among others), so please do me the favor of trying to contain this exaggerated mythologization of Jimi, which from a certain perspective doesn’t do him justice;
-the influence of Jimi Hendrix on modern music is undeniable, but even here, stating that he is the most influential artist is a weighty assertion. What do we make of T-Bone Walker, who provided a new perspective on the blues, thereby laying the groundwork for all future musical revolutions in blues/rock?
ps: for those who think otherwise, I adore Jimi Hendrix and his music...
Guns N' Roses Appetite For Destruction
Voto:
a flat album, lacking great ideas, and above all with a terrible singer and the most overrated guitarist in history (for those who haven't figured it out, Slash), better at managing his appearance than paying attention to execution...
