Why wouldn't 2008 have a historical-musical context? The Italian one was really crap.

Brilliant the thing about the 25th anniversary! They seem badass (besides being dorky) anyway, maybe I'll dedicate some time to them, who knows.

You who know a lot about punk, punk rock, pop punk, and related genres... it’s been ages since I’ve tried to review an album by those guitar-wielding ejaculators, Superchunk (like "No Pocky for Kitty" - - which I own on CD), but I can’t seem to pull a rabbit out of a hat due to the lack of time that is characterizing this glorious yet simultaneously shitty period. Glorious shit!? Anyway, what do you think? In my humble opinion, they were the best among the new wave of the genre - which should be something like the natural evolution of the more "collegiate" sounds of Replacements and Husker Du, with a typically youthful fervor of a garage band - back in the day (early nineties). And just look at the followers they created to confirm this; see the hundreds of indie bands that drew heavily from their repertoire or mentioned them among their influences (https://www.debaser.it/main/Video.aspx?y=wUayZnnQy6Y&feature=related).
