Paolo Sorrentino È stata la mano di Dio

I gave this movie three stars, but they’re worth more than the ones I gave to Don't Look Up. By the way, I don't see these "lacks" in the screenplay. Ultimately, I liked this one more than La Grande Bellezza.

I must admit that when you manage to set aside the logorrhea, you are a reviewer with cotton swabs. I’m officially intrigued.

Seen this evening, following The Lives of Others. I really enjoyed both films. My uncle was married to a woman from the GDR (before the fall of the wall), and his and his ex-wife's accounts were anything but enthusiastic (understatement). In the end, she returned to Germany (after the fall). Unfortunately, I lost contact and therefore haven't received any feedback about the "new" Germany. She liked Italy, apart from my uncle being a nuisance.

Great film, maybe a bit mannered, but nonetheless faithful and convincing. The actors were great, especially the Stasi agent.
Martin Scorsese Silence

Yes, this is definitely a great film from every point of view. Well, Scorsese is a safe bet, but here he goes beyond his excellent average.

I agree on almost everything. The story and the subject are obviously interesting. However, I was annoyed by some overly caricatured characters (the President and the singer in particular). Unlike Onirica, I definitely couldn't stand the final post-apocalyptic scenes. In short, it's a well-made film and all, but with evident gaps in character development.

Great review as always. My Santa Claus is very stingy and I don't think he will ever gift me this lot (not to be understood as poop) of stuff. I try to send more letters under fake names, but to the same address.

If you agree with The Punisher, it can only be ... The Punisher.

I moderately liked the film; perhaps, as @[dsalva] says, it deserved an extra point for Ranieri's boobs (and not only). In any case, I don't find it trivial at all, just like no Sorrentino film I've seen, except that his aesthetic has some exaggerations that I can hardly tolerate.
