I have no doubts about the review; it’s excellent as always. However, the sample I heard on YouTube didn’t convince me much. It’s not that I expect crystal-clear sounds, but here they seem definitely too ... "garage" for my tastes.

I thought I might like this "Heritage" more, because it had all the premises to align with my tastes. Instead, to be completely honest, I even prefer "Ghost Reveries." Even though the growl is a strong obstacle for my eardrums. As for the rest, guys, I finally got the original "Damnation" for 4.99 Euro on play.com. Let those who have ears to hear, hear; the rest can stay in the camper!

I have difficulty with jazz, but I appreciate many "borderline" works like Spectrum, Mind Transplant, or Caravanserai, to name a few. From how you describe it, this album might be for me. The review is really excellent, even if a bit lengthy as you yourself pointed out.
