Great White Once Bitten
Voto:
Great album! Along with White Lion's Pride, they are among the most inspired of that time!
White Lion Pride

Great album, I agree that it's one of the best of the 80s hair metal.

I don’t agree with this review at all. To me, it’s the most beautiful album they’ve made. Great album, without any weak points.

I won't rate the review, since it isn't one. But if New Romantic needs a score to boost its self-esteem: 5 (for theatrical ability). For the album, a full 5: essential. They won't come anywhere near these heights again. Without Moore, they lose their way and get lost in excessive and boring technicalities. I only save Octavarium.
Cry of Love Brother

A really great album. What times those were. This CD was recommended to me by the owner of my trusted store back then, who also pointed out "Grace" by Jeff Buckley and "Industrial Silence" by Madrugada. Unfortunately, that store has been closed for a long time now, and I haven’t found another one like it. :((
Blue Öyster Cult Secret Treaties

Great band, unfortunately overlooked by most. This is their absolute masterpiece, in a discography that is nonetheless of excellent levels. I believe that "Fire of Unknown Origin" is also a top album, although completely different. It belongs to the band's second phase, which emerged in the 80s.
Jeff Buckley Grace

The ultimate album. No further comment. Words are unnecessary in this case.
Madrugada Industrial Silence

This is definitely a beautiful record. I don't agree with the "one man band" label. Without this music, even the voice wouldn't stand out as much. Perhaps it’s true that it’s not the height of originality, but here I return to a theme that always leaves me puzzled: is there truly original music nowadays? And anyway, today as in the past, true originality lies in the soul.

Well, this is one of those albums that absolutely must be included in any discography. Beyond genres and musical tastes. Exceptional!

I wanted to add that there aren't many artists who truly manage to innovate these days. And it's not always necessary to innovate either. Generally, today's music labeled as original is nothing more than a crossover of existing music. For everything else, the notes are the same, the scales too; music is also a bit of math. Electronics can be helpful, but sometimes it makes the music too cold. So let's encourage emotion, which is what always manages to add something extra to music. Jeff Buckley is my favorite artist, and he didn't innovate in music. But his voice, and especially his interpretation, can be considered an innovation. Creed has emotion, perhaps not at the highest levels, but their music is alive; it's not reproduction. Listen to "Kingdom Come" by the band of the same name. Many have said they are the clone of Led Zeppelin. Clone or not clone, I challenge anyone to tell me it's not a great album. The novel is finished.
