A somewhat low rating, but probably the most appreciated Rush albums are the technical ones. I, however, as a good zeppelinite, raise my rating a bit. My personal ranking of Rush: 2112, Moving Pictures, Counterparts, and ... Rush. Great band, excellent musicians, and ... read the lyrics!

I'm not generally a fan of Opeth. Mostly because I don’t like the "growl" vocals. They are undoubtedly a very technical and creative band. They haven't invented anything completely original, as I believe there’s not much left to invent these days except maybe in electronic music. But they have ideas. I personally consider this album an excellent record, and the clean vocals are quite good. The reviewer also did a great job.

Review rating 5, not many promote music of this kind. I really like this album, I prefer From Within and Gravity. Of course, they owe a lot to King Crimson as mentioned before, and for this reason, I prefer the other two bands of the Swedish Triad: Anglagard and Landberk. Nonetheless, they remain a great band of high technical value that has never released a bad album.
Rush Counterparts
Voto:
Surely among their best albums, which I definitely prefer over 2112 (the absolute best) and Moving. But one can say that Rush always delivers great quality and has always held up well over time. I bow to Neil Peart, definitely among the best drummers out there. I find only the central part of this album a bit weak. For the rest, there are some fantastic tracks: Animate, Stick it Out, Cold Fire, and Leave That Thing Alone above all.
Blue Öyster Cult Fire of Unknown Origin
Voto:
This album is one of the band's best, alongside Secret Treaties, Cultosaurus Erectus, and practically all of their live recordings. This is a group that has always dared and innovated. Definitely among the best of the 70s.
Grand Funk Railroad Phoenix
Voto:
Excessive review, but the band is truly essential for the 70s. Personally, I definitely prefer Closer to Home from the early period and We're an American Band from the later one. That said, the level is high on every album from the first decade. By the way, I discovered them listening to an old 70s music compilation where there was the song Someone. The most beautiful track on this album.
Muse The Resistance
Voto:
Great review and good album. I prefer the previous one and, of course, Origin of Symmetry. In any case, Muse have accustomed us to high levels of quality. After all, they are a technically outstanding band that has managed to personalize a proposal offered by other greats of the last 15 years (Radiohead, Jeff Buckley above all). Personally, I believe that there is no other band today that can provide this continuity of quality (studio + live). Opinions, of course, but you can spare us certain comments. First, because criticisms should be substantiated, and second, because they add nothing to the debate.
Supertramp Crime Of The Century
Voto:
Supertramp... I haven't listened to them in a while. But both Crime and Breakfast are fantastic albums. What can I say about School, the song I always played in the car radio before heading to school... I wonder why I always ended up somewhere else :) !!!
Bad Company Bad Co
Voto:
Blood-rock album, like almost all of Bad Company and Free. Paul Rodgers has an incredible interpretative ability! That virgin, I mean...
Grand Funk We're An American Band

I'm torn between whether this or Closer to Home is their best album, but both are undoubtedly essential.
