Subsonica L'Eclissi
Voto:
Subsonica are one of the few genuinely original Italian bands that consistently manage to avoid repetition. I consider this album to be on par with Microchip Emozionale and it aligns more closely with my personal taste for dark atmospheres. Kudos also for the lyrics, as they are truly intriguing. P.S. How can you find similarities between Linkin Park and Subsonica? Try buying fewer GIUBBO albums because you must have a lot of confusion in your head.
Movida Contro Ogni Tempo
Voto:
I consider it one of the best Italian rock albums in my discography, along with Viaggio senza vento by Timoria and Psychorsonica by Ritmo Tribale. Unfortunately, Italy is not ready for rock, as it was shown in the 70s when it failed to appreciate great prog bands like PFM, Orme, and Banco. This has been confirmed in all the subsequent decades. The Movida had everything to break through: technique, good production, and creativity. Mysteries of Italy.

You are right hymnen, I agree with what you said. I didn't focus on describing the characteristics of his voice because that's not what I critiqued. I only critiqued Tim's musical aspect, which I don't actually dislike. As for the voice, Tim has a half octave more than Jeff, but the latter is more versatile. Besides using different registers, he has an exceptional mastery of falsetto. And from my point of view, an expressiveness that is out of this world. But the latter statement is biased. Personal taste.
Alice In Chains MTV Unplugged

From my point of view, this unplugged is among the best, along with Tesla's. Despite the not-so-happy period, Layne's voice was always wonderful. The acoustic version of Would is a gem. My 4 is actually a 4.5, and I justify this by saying that although I really like AIC as a band and their musicality, they do have some weak spots. But they were truly great.

I'm saying that I liked the review of the album more. It’s different, if you know the Italian language. I don't speak in absolutes like those who say that Tim was a genius and Jeff wasn't. I have always stated that this is my point of view. And I absolutely didn't say that Tim isn't good; on the contrary, I mentioned that he has a very beautiful and wide-ranging voice. Nobody ordered me to listen to this album; I simply did it as one does with many albums, following suggestions, reviews, etc., probably hoping to find something that was close to Jeff's music. It’s okay. There is no music that is for everyone.

Indeed, the most beautiful thing is the review, truly heartfelt. As for the comments, they don't add much; there could be a thousand of this type (especially the latter). Anyway, "de gustibus." I like the voice and some parts of the album, but I can't listen to it in its entirety.

So you could have just not replied to me... I, on the other hand, am curious to hear the reasons, I don’t care if they’re technical or not. Maybe hearing it from other perspectives could be interesting (the synesthesia slipped out).
Creed Human Clay
Voto:
I only read the response today. We agree on Kingdom Come. Jeff Buckley was mentioned for no particular reason, just to express a concept. No one should take offense to this. As for Creed, I definitely prefer Human Clay over My Own Prison, which is still a good album. To be honest, I haven't listened to the rest. In this case, I don't judge the image or intentions of the band; I evaluate the music that I enjoy on this record. Genuine and dignified. They are certainly not among my favorite artists.

In fact, I've had this album for a few years now and I've listened to it multiple times. Unfortunately, my opinion hasn't changed. On the other hand, I've expressed my view; I'm not trying to convince anyone, but I'm curious to know what in particular you like about Tim's music. The voice is very beautiful and I won't dispute that, especially with a great range, even though I definitely still prefer Jeff's vocals. But the big difference I find is in the music, which is more varied in genres and in the songs themselves. By this, I mean that they are less repetitive, with more melodic and rhythmic variations. I probably prefer it also because it's more rock. And I particularly love those open chords of Jeff's that give him a lot of freedom for his expressiveness. Well, those are my reasons; I'm interested to know yours.

I bought this album with my eyes closed, swept away by the magnificent art of his son Jeff. That's probably where the mistake lies. I also tried to listen to the acclaimed Starsailor and Happy Sad to get a clearer idea, but I couldn't find what I was looking for. While I appreciate the very beautiful and extensive voice, Tim's music fails to captivate me. I find the songs “dragged out until the end.” But perhaps it's just a genre I can't digest. No offense to Tim's fans, I believe Jeff definitely has a more complete and inspired musical offering.
