Genesis And Then There Were Three...
Voto:
finally a calm album without the pompousness of the previous ones. Guys, it might be nice to revisit the Gabriel era, to tell everyone how much we like "prog," then "jazz prog," and then "cocoprog," but I’m a bit fed up with progressing. Here are many simple ballads with taste, warmth, and beautiful sound. Is this CD really that bad? No.

There is something brilliant and unsettling in this "review." I don’t know what to say. Maybe you're angry with the music or perhaps with its banal counterpart on paper: the review.

Interesting sociological contribution, Ludovica, but I don't believe in a deterministic influence of television programs on a person's mental health. Plus, I don't like cartoons... I tolerate them.

I can't get excited about these guys. And to think they are from my area too. I saw a sad video, long faces, lyrics about "discomfort" that even the 70s wouldn’t match, minor key pieces that not even Bjork would pull off... oh my, I'm certainly not an optimist, but why should I listen to them? I ask their supporters to shed some light in the darkness: why?

beautiful beautiful beautiful! There is content both in the review and in the proposed CD. This album is not collecting dust.

Sting sacred love
Voto:
It may not be Sting's best album, but it's a good production with some nice songs. Sting has always had an ear for the modern, the different, and mainstream pop. I understand that a fan of The Police might be horrified if they think of Sting screaming "nooo time wooooooo no time this tiiime." However, honestly, when he performs tracks from "Sacred Love" or the previous album live, I feel he’s more in his element than when he plays the old Police stuff. Then, if we feel like it, let’s pull out the original cassette of Synchronicity and have some fun. In any case, Sting continuously evolves, and he's a great artist. Even "Ten Summoner's Tales," when it came out, seemed so commercial... yet now we're all his fans. Time will tell.

I give this album a 4. It's not just originality that matters. This is a record of very high quality. Unfortunately forgotten, and yes, it's from our own backyard.

If I may give a small contribution, I would like to remind you that the piece "lux aeterna" from Ligeti's Requiem is featured in the famous sequence of the monolith in 2001: A Space Odyssey. It is a multi-voiced a cappella piece and it usually gives a sense of astonishment. Kubrick is a big fan of Ligeti and also references him in The Shining in the opening sequence with the piece "Lontano."
