work in progress...concept....masterpiece and above all songwriting...can't help it: I'm not convinced by your English.
Mike Oldfield Ommadawn

It doesn’t seem to add much to what has already been said about Mike Oldfield. It’s a real shame because it’s a magnificent album. The review feels very bland. The image of Mike Oldfield as “thoughtful” because he no longer has creativity is pathetic and doesn’t represent the truth. If in the 90s Mike Oldfield is still capable of creating wonderful things like Amarok, I don’t see where the decline in creativity is in this restless artist with a fluctuating mood. Always underestimated. Nevertheless, you did well to review it.

this album is a total drag...let's say it without false idolatries
Yes Close To The Edge
Voto:
I don't understand how a group like Yes can produce such beautiful things like Close to the Edge and songs like Turn of the Century, and then come out with such dull albums like Relayer, which, by the way, are unjustly praised. Help me in my total ignorance.
Giovanni De Liso Genesis - Once Upon A Time

Exaggerated! Gabriel himself basically says that the lyrics of Genesis in most cases mean nothing or, at most, what is written there. I would say that the musicality of the words and the images evoked are more important. But let's not go overboard with the exegeses... let's not exegete!

You and I have had a similar journey with debaser. Like you, I had the chance to explore more artists like Fred Frith. Your suggestion is very interesting. I believe your tastes might range from the Canterbury scene to jazz and Brazilian music, and much more. It's amazing to see how just dedicating a few hours to music can reveal that there isn't just one channel to find beautiful things. In any case, can I recommend Talk Talk to you? They have nothing to do with it, but I want to see if you like them. Great review, I'll also listen to Bill Laswell now.

At least refute what she wrote! And point by point just like she did...
Jean Michel Jarre Oxygène 7-13

The "little jerk," who studied with Stockhausen and Schaeffer, might rub you the wrong way at first, but we are talking about a music innovator, perhaps not a Bach but definitely not "the last of the jerks." The electronic music you heard in the '80s stems from his experiments with certain sounds, e.g. the Fairlight CMI. That kind of electronics is the foundation of what you now find sampled in today's pop tracks.

You did an amazing job. It's hard to comment track by track, so perhaps you could have simply avoided it and just shared the emotions that the album conveys. You definitely included emotions, even if a bit scattered throughout the review. I need to listen to it; I only know the single and it's very beautiful. A war will erupt here over how many consider it "commercial compared to the early works" or just "commercial." My opinion is that we are facing one of the most convincing intimate lyricists among Italians who can sell out. Paradoxically, it's his voice that I like so much—so fragile, indefinable when he interprets the poems he writes. Then I might want to say that "le mie parole" sung by Bersani moves me a bit more... I can never sing it and get to the part where he says "un bacio prima del sonno..." without getting emotional and losing myself. Thanks for the review! Great artist.
