In my opinion, Michael’s songs are much better than his voice. Often, his voice is associated with that sugary version of "these are the days of our lives" at the Mercury Tribute, not to mention that other misery of "somebody to love" performed by him; personal taste: it cried out for vengeance to the heavens. Much better are the scattered songs like Outside compared to this album. It’s better when he does the dance routine. Nevertheless, it’s a brave review for the pop theme addressed.

There is some confusion around the term "emo." By now, it's more of a label given to certain hairstyles and specific makeup styles. However, I don't notice typical sounds of this legendary "emo" in any of the bands you've mentioned. Perhaps they don't even realize they are. After all, the Cure didn't say, "Hey, we play dark." Unfortunately, their cover bands do.

time out of mind I had liked....but wasn't it the time he played in front of the Pope in Bologna? Always surprising over the years, but at the time I considered this album fairly ignorable...maybe I'm wrong, I'll go dig it out from the cracks of some old wall.

Less desire to explain, more desire to suggest. I would say that between a heartfelt review of an emo album and a technique of death metal, this is still very enjoyable.

It seems to me an excellent review capable of rediscovering albums unjustly left behind. The fact that it bores someone does not detract from the excellent musical depth of the record. In reality, taking another example, I often hear people dismissing Bob Dylan's 80s albums outright because they are too "80s." Ridiculous, especially considering that "Jokerman," an essential and sublime song in his discography, was released as a single in 1984. For Van Morrison, this album came out in 1982, but how many people are willing to listen to it? I propose that we do so, thanks to the reviewer who has rightly dusted it off for us.

The highly talented Patrick Wolf has always presented himself with the same face. I don’t understand these negative reviews. What’s the difference compared to Bachelor? The desire of this guy to make the leap from indie pop to the traditional charts was there before and remains now. Instead, I would like to draw your attention to first-rate musicians who deliver consistent masterpieces between pop, quirky singer-songwriter music, and great musical awareness. Musicians like William Bird or Owen Pallett, now former young artists who surely cause less noise and attention than this discreet Patrick Wolf, but for whom it is definitely worth a listen or two, even three.

Faber.. Not Faber. Everyone has their own deities. Those fans who idolize him as if he were a god are amusing. My friend Faber. I think I prefer him exactly where he crafts records for the general public, with the utmost musical care that distinguishes him, for example "le nuvole". As for this album, if we were talking about another, we would define it as "immature". I like to think of it as a collection of beautiful songs (which it is). He is not a god, and he hasn't always succeeded in everything. When will his son start writing his own songs again? I liked the first ones he presented live with his father. Enough with the nostalgia, guys.

this is his best album. Incredible in a landscape where often artists produce increasingly worse things over time, he instead, after his "time cure," continues to create increasingly beautiful work. I invite those who do not know him live to go see how he is on stage. That way, at least those who write words like "snob" will have a nice surprise and will realize his way of being, the only one I have ever seen on a stage capable of completely eliminating the distances with his audience.
