Ubisoft Assassin's Creed II

I didn't understand anything about the game's plot. Graphically impressive. More than the first episode. But too difficult for someone like me, who finds it challenging to play even Super Mario in two dimensions. So I gave up after the first ten, fifteen minutes of play. It seems that the conclusion of this and the first chapter of the series leaves the player with a bitter taste. Anyway, once I knew a certain Ezio. He was an okay guy, but he was a coward. He could often be found crouching in the alleys of the historic center. Every time I hear "Assassin's Creed," I am reminded from afar of his ineffable stench.

Mythical Tom Jones.

Volonté in this (very big) film is simply immense. A true giant. "Investigation of a Citizen Above Suspicion..." is one of the masterpieces of Italian cinema. One of Petri's best, although it's also true that he's never missed a shot. Not even when he tackled science fiction in a perfect pop-art style with a platinum Mastroianni ("The Tenth Victim"). It is indeed true that the left in this country has always been divided. Only today it is hard to even define it as "left." Unless by left you mean "sordid, disastrous, fatal, greedy, ill-fated, unfortunate, gallows-like, evil, alarming, distressing, fatal, doomed, grim, gloomy, sinister, malevolent, adversarial, threatening, ugly, funereal, unfavorable, lugubrious, mournful, shady, deadly, progressive, even bleak rather than Fosca."

Never too loved. But they were fun in their simplicity. Anyway, it's true. The series ended at the right moment, avoiding the risk of declining and becoming repetitive and (perhaps) boring. Good page. "Hey Beavis, your mom is a total babe!"

Contemplation. I too have always rooted for the hunchback. But he had to die. There’s no way around it. All of this makes me think of a nice phrase by Sergio Corbucci. There’s one of his great spaghetti westerns, "Il grande silenzio". Klaus Kinski plays the evil bounty hunter, Frank Wolff is the sheriff, and Trintignant (!!!) is the good guy. He’s a mute gunslinger. The film was not well-received at the time since in the end Klaus Kinski shoots Trintignant. The bad guy wins, and this is quite rare in spaghetti westerns. Corbucci defended himself in the only possible way. He declared: ā€œLet’s be honest, Trintignant didn’t know how to shoot well!ā€ Grim. That was "Per un pugno di dollari".

I've never liked Tim Burton. This film is enough. More or less. I remember seeing it in the cinema when I was a kid. Outside, after the screening, I ran into two guys who wanted to take ten thousand lire from me. They didn't succeed. Instead, they gave me a good beating. I probably prefer Bud Spencer.

Let's forget it. Some vinyl records, and quite precious ones too, have fallen into enemy hands. So yes. Better a Johnnie Walker.

Put away after fifteen minutes. And you know I used to like the series. Maybe it was just too "immense."

It’s a film quite different from the "first." Certainly more complex. Or perhaps it’s "Per un pugno di..." that is somehow sparse, but at the same time (rightfully so) more remembered also for reasons of historical and temporal significance. And for some "cult" moments/lines. Which, however, are not lacking here either. It’s hard to choose. Particularly interesting, as Supersoul and partly the reviewer point out, is the figure of the Indio. Because while Eastwood does Eastwood, Van Cleef does Van Cleef, and all the other actors play characters that are usually within their range (Mario Brega, the great and always too "forgotten" Klaus Kinski...), this time, finally, Volonté does Volonté, and doesn’t limit himself to being just the antagonist good at shooting with a rifle.

Seen. It was reasonable to expect an explosive ending. But that's fine. I enjoyed almost everything. Now I have to see "La sposa turca".
