I don't understand one thing. That is, this CC referred to by PDL in comment 37 would be me, Carlo Cimmino, in person?

Fëdor Michajlovic Dostoevskij Memorie Dal Sottosuolo

What a great page. This book was recommended to me a year or two ago by an admirer of mine (???). However, despite my reluctance, finding it difficult, simply boring, or perhaps just wondering about the exact pronunciation of "Dostoevskij," I abandoned it after two pages, preferring my old collection of Superman comics. Since then, I’ve been spending my sleepless nights trying to figure out how to pronounce "Mxyztplk" correctly. At this point, it might be wise for me to turn to reading "Topolino." Or the latest book by Walter Veltroni. I'll let you know later.

What can I say? Beyond the tribute, for which I am deeply and irreparably moved, I must highlight the evident growth in writing and reviewing of this excellent debaseriano, the ever-present cappio al pollo. A growth that we certainly should not only tie and consider in relation to this great page and DeCaso almost DeLuxe (Sfascia, let’s give him time, let’s give him time!), as his latest works are also excellent. This DeCaso, however, is timely and hits the mark. What can we say about Annie, about all those crazy days and those streets that no longer lead anywhere? Only Fiumani can tell us this, one of the greatest songwriters in the history of Italian music, personally regarded by me as the best, and may Isis forgive me (maybe, maybe not), even greater than Fausto Rossi (slightly inferior to Piero Ciampi though, well, nobody's perfect). This one in particular is one of my favorite albums. Five full stars.
Lou Reed Rock and Roll Heart

Hello everyone. - Flo, as the rightly noted De-notare Sfascia (whom I sincerely thank and ideally and exceptionally embrace in a non-virile way), this is a "Deluxe Lecter Case"! Posting it on casapagina would be an infamy for all the serious reviewers crowding this great and cool site. - Blech, as the great Cappio al Pollo points out (whom I salute and this time vigorously and virily shake hands with), those are not my five desert-island discs. In truth, I don’t have five desert-island discs at all. I don’t even have one, not even this too unjustly ignored album by the good old Lou Reed. Anyway, it’s true, I think I’d prefer the drums and ramblings of a tribe of cannibals from Papua New Guinea Bisseau over De André and Led Zeppelin. - Skeletron, yours is an interesting proposal. Let’s say I need to think about it. If worse comes to worst, we can play for the jacket in Age of Empires. - Cappio, thanks for your input. I don’t understand this ostracism and bitterness you have towards the works of the great Lou Reed. But you are an intelligent person; I’m sure you’ll come back on your hundred steps sooner or later. What to say about Chiara? I think we have already discussed it at length during sleepless nights and mornings, never reaching a noteworthy conclusion. The Felloni are a legend of Italian music. I find it absurd that their EP is not adequately reviewed on DeBaser. - Casamorta, don’t tell me you were there that night too! Who were you? The one who was making out with a student in the club's bathroom and preventing me from getting in, forcing me to use a cramped and dirty (and already smelly) alley, or the one who was throwing punches with a Palmeiras fan? - Great Santalessio, yeah! - Ilfreddo, I love you too. Also because I consider you one of the best reviewers on DeBaser! - Woodstock, I must say I had almost forgotten those “reviews.” I don’t know if this one is heavier. Maybe more “pretentious”? Anyway, I’m glad you liked it. See you soon!

The cover vaguely reminds me of the cover (this one: immagine:B000009T1T.01.MZZZZZZZ.jpg) of a Seam album, a decent band from the early nineties. Good times. Yes, I know it has nothing to do with it. Bear with me. This (cover) is more futuristic though. Beautiful page anyway. Just one (very simple and personal) note: too bold!
Valerio Scanu Per tutte le volte che..
Voto:
Great Paolo. This (unexpected) double appearance at Sanremo was at least necessary. The comparison between Leopardi and this - carneade, but certainly not Carnera in terms of build and charisma - Valerio Scanu, whom I know only because he won Sanremo, is interesting. However, I must tell you, I find his song more irritating and boring than the vocalizations of Yoko Ono and even Yoko Ono herself in (limited) flesh and bones. Now I say goodbye to you all, as I’m off to make love in the Lambro.
Pere Ubu The Art Of Walking

Difficult album, but I quite like it. Given the premises - the presence of Mr. Thompson in the line-up (okay, he’s definitely had a few misses too) - it’s clear that one could have expected the so-called "bang," but (overall) you’re right. It’s not much, and it’s been a while since I last listened to it. However, I would like to stick up for "Horses," which is a song that I’ve always quite liked.
Ingo F. Walther, Rainer Metzger Van Gogh - Tutti I Dipinti
Voto:
Van Gogh? I've heard of him. It seems that when he was still, he kicked better than Ruud Krol. Then a bad injury (partial removal of his left ear) ended his career. He was great. The statistics and the almanacs speak for him. And his works. Forget about these popwarholian fascist and pseudo-metallic assholes...
