Richmond Fontaine We Used to Think the Freeway Sounded Like a River
Voto:
Really interesting. I had already heard about Richmond Fontaine, and positively, and I'm already working on getting this record. But tell me, are Willy Vlautin's works perhaps translated and/or available in Italian? If so, I would be interested.

Too bad. They almost scare me. I prefer the more reassuring Lost.

"Reviews written by whoever wants." And on any album, bad movie, video game, work of art (or presumed as such), and text, I suppose. That said, I would like to break yet another lance in favor of the Punisher's mission. It's less lyrical than Il_Paolo, but probably no less incisive. At times perhaps convincing. Good.

@ Punisher. More. If you read it backwards, you'll find interesting instructions on how to become rich, beautiful, and famous. @ casamorta - which is one of the most beautiful nicknames in DeBaser history - I truly thank you for the appreciation: thank you. @ Sfascia. In this regard, I would propose - the DeConstruction of a bridge between Kontinente and Terrae di Sardignia - to hold a specific petition, of course DeSotto & DeSovraScritta by the entire debaseriota population. Maybe the little duke, moved by compassion, will think more than once and thus make it his natural evolution (chapter 3 of the manual): a concrete commitment. @ Drunkedqueen - who given her already noted appreciation for fiumaniche deeds, at this point I could consider as my ideal woman/my [nobody-see Jack Lemmon in "Some Like It Hot"-is perfect] man - analyzing the events of our peninsula over the last, let's say, thirty years, I have a grave suspicion and feel that this little man, or whatever you want to call him, will be well remembered by our fellow citizens. But I am one of those desperate and overly disillusioned, so let's hope for better otherwise. @ Kosmo: UH! @ Bartle. Good luck. You hoped to manage, huh... @ Cappio. Yes, they do remind me a bit of Echo and the Bunnymen, and I highly recommend them. I wanted to write about the similarity somewhere, but then I forgot. Thank you for the compliments anyway. It is indeed a beautiful page, there's everything: from history (think Tudjman and the sad Yugoslav events) to prehistory (the Italy of today) and even science fiction (my supposed familiarity with the female population). @ Schizoid: UH[bis]!

Well done. This review, like other excellent ones of yours, I wish I could have written. I applaud you once again.

Well done Hellring, really good review. Except for probably sporadic exceptions that I honestly struggle to even imagine now, I hate costume films and this one certainly isn't an exception.

I absolutely know nothing about these Running Wild. But the album cover, the album title, and especially the review are really great stuff. I prefer it.

Well. All in all, claiming that "young Jo Donatello wants to be a Neapolitan singer" is not entirely inaccurate. It is a phrase that could be interpreted and historically and culturally contextualized. Examples in this sense abound, and I like to point out multiple times how a rather shabby character like Renzo Arbore has done everything over the years to become a "Neapolitan singer" and how he has almost succeeded in his aim, which appears to all of us as being twofold: a) to inflate his bank account; b) to legitimize and revitalize quite a few stereotypes about this city and all of us poor bastards who inhabit it, you never know, we might just manage to free ourselves by chance. The film, there's little to say, is a masterpiece. Even prophetic, because this story-comparison between badness and people fighting for freedom can only remind us of current events, characters, and parties. I would dare say the performance of the great and sexy Cinzia Profita is Oscar-worthy. Bravo.
