Finished three or four days ago. This Nick Harkaway is good and potentially maybe worthy of his great father, the legendary Mr. John Le Carré. However, unlike the latter, he often gets lost in chatter, and some—many—passages of this fairly decent book are a bit boring and heavy. Superfluous. "The world after..." anyway reminded me a bit of something by Benni (see "Elianto") and, if we stick to the Gonzo Lubitsch-protagonist relationship, also a bit of the aforementioned Le Carré in "Absolute Friends" (which - just between us - is a really great book). Although the intentions and purposes of the authors and inevitable conclusions are quite different and divergent. Three stars.

@ Fogos. As far as I know, Federico Fiumani still likes Baustelle. Anyway, I find their first two works quite enjoyable. "La moda del lento" in particular reminds me of a time in my life when I could be happy.
