Hey Giorgio. Hello. As you can clearly see, I indeed refrained from voting on the book in question. Regarding "Cechov americano," I made an oversight, forgive me Greg, but I didn’t even raise it as a reason for controversy. Let's keep it friendly then and remove the nonsense! I hug you, bye.

I couldn't care less about Vasco, but DePagina is my favorite. Well done, Mr. Primiballi.

[Friendlily] Gaglioffo! The American Chekhov is only Carver and no one else! A booklet that could be interesting and well-written, but, as Gino excellently suggests in comment number 1, that title is horrifying and extremely discouraging.

I liked the first one. I think I'll pretend to be my own son and go see it. Plus, Gwyneth Paltrow is gorgeous. Forget about Pamela Anderson and Scarlett Johannesburg...

Joseph O'Connor Quell'incredibile inverno del '75

I like the intro with "I have nothing against Joseph O'Connor" and the semi-damning critique of the work. I'm not familiar with the author in question, and the only issue is that I didn't quite understand what he usually writes about, since this work doesn't seem to be—according to what you say—his most representative. However, it may have little to do with it, but—speaking of biographies with portraits of youthful families—the review reminded me of "Ronnie, My Father" by John Le Carré, a little book in which good John offers a portrait and a description of the exploits of his unfortunate father, described on that occasion as "the most brazen conman one could encounter in post-war Britain."

I surrender to the limitation of characters. Five on trust, Mister. You did well to dust off Fulci's name on this site.
