Diaframma Live @ Liò Bar, Brescia 17/10/2008
Voto:
Wonderful review. It perfectly captures the spirit of experiencing Diaframma's music and reminded me of how I felt at their concert in Rome a few years ago. Ultimately, it’s worthy of the works of the good Federico Fiumani. Does the current lineup include Fiumani-bass-drums?
Napoli Centrale Mattanza
Voto:
The Napoli Centrale had a lot to say (and to play). Five on the record. Maybe I’ll listen to it again tonight. Senese remains a magnificent character.
Eddie Vedder Into The Wild
Voto:
Better than the last Pearl Jam releases. But it didn't take much. Maybe I'll reassess the album after watching the movie. Great review, with a spectacular "intro."
The Gun Club Miami
Voto:
Very beautiful album: five. The review is also excellent.
Ettore Scola Riusciranno I Nostri Eroi A Ritrovare L'Amico Misteriosamente Scomparso..
Voto:
The review is well written, and I certainly didn't dislike it. However, I don't share some of its content, especially because I think the film is very successful. I agree with the analysis of supersoul. Five for the film. If nothing else, to offset your three.
Brian Eno & David Byrne Everything That Happens Will Happen Today
Voto:
I didn't mind it: three point five. But I round it up to four because there are noteworthy insights, and I would always give five to Byrne's voice. Will it be a big success? I only learned about the album thanks to a friend's recommendation, days after its release.
Franco Battiato Fleurs 2
Voto:
Even Fleurs 3 was not up to the level of Battiato's previous works. Instead, the first one in the trilogy is beautiful and successful. I join the other 'worried' ones, but I might get myself a copy.
Robert Altman M.A.S.H.
Voto:
It's hard to give less than five to Altman.
Robert Altman America Oggi - Short Cuts
Voto:
This film was indeed difficult to review: four. Five for the movie, a brilliant work by a genius of cinema. With each viewing, it offers new emotions and reveals new aspects of the plots and characters.
Robert Altman Il Lungo Addio
Voto:
Five. Because Marlowe and Chandler have taught me more than so many school texts and have given me more emotions and love than many women. Because Altman is a great director, and this film is proof of that (I also agree with those who praise a masterpiece like California Poker). Because Gould in this film is truly a son of a bitch, and I’ve always wanted to resemble him a little.
