3 of admiration and platonic love always declared for one of my idols....but this time alas a great disappointment...the impression is that our artist had to pull out remnants of all kinds and from every era, badly mixed together!!...nervous, confused record with no apparent guiding thread.

@federock....I didn't want to contradict you, it was an emphasis and a reference to the title of Collins' first LP....@london...Banks will have his faults, but man, if you listen to the solo works of the 3 survivors, you'd see a common denominator clear between the post-80s Genesis albums and Phil Collins' solo works....Apart from the more than decent "A Curious Feeling," Banks has written some memorable nonsense, but with a style consistent with the post-Gabriel pop-prog (up to Duke, if you catch my drift).....then it's just Collins-era!!!!

"The common denominator that initially connected Peter Gabriel, Tony Banks, and Mike Rutherford and later Phil Collins was their shared passion for black music, particularly the sounds of Motown. Some hints of these sounds can be sensed in certain moments of 'From Genesis To Revelation', ......WHAT?????...@federock. Phil Collins' first album is called 'Face Value' where there's 'In the Air Tonight'. It's the only decent solo work, following the last decent things by Genesis.....then... I quote Fedezan76 who summarized it perfectly!!"
