In my opinion, comparing them to other shoegaze groups just because they play the same genre (or rather: grouping them under the same genre name) is incorrect. It’s one of those genres where, in its exact era (removing revivals and all that), each group makes its own history. 5 might be an exaggeration, but I see too many unfair 3s on this page.

"overlays borrowed from North Indian/Tibetan chants" You made me think that for a long time I've wanted to write a review about Phurpa... But it's not easy.

Ah, but the last post is three years old. Damn necrophilic commentators.

But is it a cover album by the Stooges? I haven't read the review or the comments. Maybe I missed the mark.

Stephen O' Malley is capable of an extraordinary live experience, but be careful... I'm looking for this, come on.

It's a shame that in my area he’s a legend, and as such, every concert is a pretty big event (both in terms of attendance and organization). As a result, seeing him in this province costs more than elsewhere... A few weeks ago, he was practically playing in my backyard, but the entry fee was 15 euros.

There is no satisfaction if they know it right from the title…

Reinventing oneself by making a solo album that hardly differs from what has been done so far? Either I'm losing my mind or "reinventing oneself" has lost its meaning...

I've heard little about him (and I like him anyway), but he's from Como (ok, he was born in Monza, but who cares) so that's a 5 no matter what!
