I have somewhere an album of the same name, bought at a distro during some ridiculously awesome concert... I remember it being a crushing experience at the edge of being unlistenable (in a good way).

Well, what are we talking about, it took just two buttons to spend whole hours having fun (even though I do like complex games, but that's another story). The second one is definitely the one I'm most attached to... but I still preferred Spyro :D

It's been years since I've listened to metal, but because of this review, I've just put on A Thousand Lies by TestaMacchina (what an album!). I saw Slayer halfway through at the Gods of Metal in 2008 (due to unforeseen circumstances, I had a train to catch that same evening to go home), but I don't think they were at their best.
