I'm curious to read it, but it's too much right now, I'll pass for later.

I've always found old-school black metal to be a fundamentally useless genre. The bands that stand out are 3 or 4, the others, well... all the same. Same voice, same sound, same compositional techniques, for songs identical at their core. I can move from album to album, from band to band, and I wouldn't realize I was listening to different artists. Almost all old-school black songs could have been made by one person. With little imagination, mind you.

I've listened to this group and re-listened multiple times, and in every album, it's mediocrity in the absolute sense of the term... That is, "average." Every album is a 3, a passing grade, "good enough not to be bad, but doesn't stand out." And that saddens me.
