I don't know why, but until today I had been ignoring it. Or rather, it had always intrigued me for a long time, but I never bothered to give it a listen. Today I listened to "Paris Milonga" and... damn.

I've listened to the whole album little, but it seems like a great record... But shall we talk about Jubilee Street? Christ, what a track...

The Isis are also ten spans above the CoL when it comes to research and *experimentation*. But damn, post-core is visceral, and in terms of visceralness, the CoL are second only to Neurosis! Superb review, an album I still don’t feel ready to listen to.

What have you brought back! I listened to this stuff a lot back in middle school, mainly in seventh grade, and then I became a serious metalhead for a couple of years. I don’t remember much about how they were, maybe I’ll listen to them again now.

Hi, the comparison at the moment originated from the reviewer who claims the lack of depth in D.D and that "strange" serious films are others. And I, for convenience, quoted Lynch (for whom absurdity is the leitmotif) precisely to say that it is misleading to compare this film to those "serious" ones because it not only does not belong to that category, but it doesn't even aspire to (and that’s where the final sentence of my comment comes from).

To me, the problem seems to be that you want to belittle it as a film for kids: and what's wrong with that? Overrating is not a problem of the film but of the people, and it doesn’t affect its quality (which, by the way, I don’t think it’s one of the best films ever, so thank you very much). I still like it. Then I get it that if we compare it to Lynch (mentioned above), it doesn’t hold up, but why should we compare it to Lynch who has nothing to do with it? It’s like preferring salami to a hamster sandwich.

Wait a moment, are you telling me that it has already happened and it's already over?

I'm listening to it again right now and I didn't remember it was this beautiful. One day, before he kicks the bucket, he’ll have to explain to us how he manages to cram in 15-16-17-18 songs in a row without us even realizing it (okay, the standard here is 13, but the deluxe has 16, and his other albums don’t mess around either). It's incredible how, after 30 years and just as many albums, despite the not-so-funny age, he can still surprise us like in the past. Has this man ever done anything stupid? Even his lesser album, if we were to rate it, wouldn’t drop below a 7. Well, if he’s among the greatest of all time, it’s not for nothing (and I’m a bit biased). In any case, this is also one of his most *eagerly listenable* albums.

Discovered with huge delay in the last few days... I wouldn’t have bet a dime on it, but it knocks me out!
