Panlio, do you know that Punk "musicians" had multimillion-dollar contracts with the Major labels? And that many JAZZ GENIUSES went hungry for many years, recording wherever they could? Do me a favor. Shut up.

mufffiman, look, the idea of collage has existed since the dawn of time; it’s not like Zappa came down to earth and invented it himself. It has nothing to do with it. Bye mufffiman, see you next time!

they have a different rhythmic structure, Zappa being the clever one mixes in a sort of collage half of the twentieth century with his proverbial "genius irony," while the Faust instead try to create their own rhythmic-harmonic space, which goes beyond the simple collage, and they partially succeed. different sounds, different structures, different influences (at times the same ones, but in a different context), the only characteristic that unites them is in the duration of the tracks, (and I don't think that's the famous concept...)

The structuring of the pieces and the soundscapes in the two albums are completely different. It's not enough to have effects and electronics in common to speak of influences; in those years, that was the norm for many bands. Zappa sticks you with his usual ironic flourishes, while in the Faust, on the other hand, the electronic part is dominated by particular spatialization techniques typical of vintage Carletto.
