Great review that I fully agree with! (except for "it relaxes and doesn't make you sleep" ;-)

I find that "The All Seeing Eye" is the pinnacle of shorter's solo work (a masterpiece), a true miracle of creative inspiration, both from a compositional and improvisational perspective. I would classify this as a notch below.

It is not the most extreme frontier, but yet another frontier that can only pertain exclusively to one of the multiple aspects pursued by him in the field of electroacoustics and beyond. The work in question has an engineering aspect and involves, though without reaching the levels of past years.

Quotes are always hit or miss. The paths taken by Buckley are numerous, one of which shows the influence of Neil, in others the influence of Berio and Berberian, in others jazz, and in others the influence of no one. The fact remains that to go 300 miles an hour you need a Ferrari; with good intuitions and a maroon 128, you won't get far. I don't know if we’re on the same page, I hope so.

@ kosmogabry post 30 well, look how strange, "especially hates the Milanese who are convinced they are the center of the world." Did you personally ask Mrs. Mazzini to make such a statement??? Or is it simply that you don’t really like the Milanese...

@donjunio. More than a teacher, he has been a source of stylistic inspiration in some works and not in others, along with similar vocal timbres, but with definitely incomparable ranges.

the review is tasty, I don't know Neil's first one. the great Buckley owes a little debt, but not too much...
