Well, let's say it, The Song Remains The Same is a bit lackluster. A bit too much. It’s also the perfect example of a live album released out of necessity, as Azzo put it: recorded at the end of the '73 tour, it would only be released in '76 due to contractual issues and because, fundamentally, the Zeppelins were in a slump. For the real Led Zeppelin live experience, you need to listen to, as Azzuccio rightly said, the BBC Sessions and/or the nameless DVD, where, on the first disc, is their best concert for me, that at the Royal Albert Hall in '70.
