Gabri, here we don't criticize (at least I don't) the fact that it’s always the same people! I'm not bothered at all by a group that always does the same thing but does it well. Here we’re talking about quality. And in my opinion, I see little quality here. What do you think?

Damn, I don't understand your point. I may be from the nineties and I may not have lived through thirty-five years of singer-songwriter history, but can I say that this album is a half-assed attempt? Come on, you can't tell me that, in terms of quality, this album is on the same level as the previous one. The lyrics are a mess of chopped-up phrases from the book + clichés, and while in the other album the uniqueness of his writing held up, and held up well, here it feels forced, repetitive, and not at all communicative, at least as far as I'm concerned. Concerts are a different story. I've seen him three times, the first time with Canali in Milan together with Bartoldo and the good Omaha, and it was so-so; the second time in a theater, before Massimo Volume, just him and three electric guitars, and it was very beautiful; the third time with the lineup that later played on this album and it was even better. In fact, live he communicates much more to me than on the album. Perfect. But, I don't know about you, while listening to this album, sometimes I started laughing (the line: "and not being able to reach you because of the alternate license plates" or "the eyeliner to go to war," or "when you cry your cheeks rust") and other times I felt quite embarrassed. Sure, musically it's a nice album, okay, nothing amazing, but a nice album. But that's not enough. To be clear, up until "Fireworks" it’s still fine, but after that, let's just forget it, it’s better. Oh! Another thing, about honesty. Apart from the fact that it's a bit weak not to go on MTV to be honest, but then it’s not like being honest automatically means producing good stuff. One can honestly make crap. By the way, it seems to me that he is well-intentioned, he believes in what he does, I think, it’s just that sometimes he comes across as so empty to me. And a bit ridiculous.

But no! :D It's just that I didn't like the review at all, the album is an embarrassing disappointment, what should I do? :D At times it feels like I'm hearing a mockery, but not even a well-crafted one, more like something from Colorado, for as little as I know Colorado...

I must say I struggled quite a bit to listen to it. A lot of craftsmanship, little passion, and a few too many clichés. But maybe it will grow on me with more listens... For now, I'm happy with Field Songs :)

Terrible review, almost like the album. Aside from one or two songs, an embarrassing flatness. At times it’s laughable, at others it’s just shameful.
