@GASTA it made me think of Kerry King...
Paradise Lost Faith Divides Us - Death Unites Us
Voto:
I am a lover of doom and gothic, MDB is my favorite band and I can say I've listened to quite a few doom metal/death doom/gothic bands, but I've never liked Paradise Lost. I tried listening to Icon, Gothic, Shades of God, even Draconian Times, but they don't appeal to me at all; I find them to be lacking in impact, dark and "sad," in short, too little doom... however, the fact remains that they are essential for the history of the genre...

I don’t vote because I only have the EP "Hypnagogue: A Dream Prologue," which here represents half of the album in question. The rating for that part is 4. The review is magnificent, one of the best you’ve written; comment number two, in response to Lethe, is particularly beautiful as well. Hellooo!!

@GASTA: I know very well that bergtatt is by Ulver; if you read carefully, I actually wrote "I'm not a big listener of these sounds, but I believe, from what I've heard, that the peak was reached with bergtatt." Therefore, I wasn't referring to the discography of Wyrd but to that of black/folk.

I heard them, but I didn't like them, so I only had a superficial listen (I would give it a 2). I'm not a big listener of these sounds, but I believe, from what I've heard, that the peak was reached with bergtatt.

"We will have the opportunity, in a dedicated review, to discuss it in more depth." Does it mean that you are preparing the review for this album? I'm curious to read it; I don’t think I will ever listen to it, but reading your reviews is always a pleasure, especially when they talk about an album with great conceptual value like (I believe) Soliloquy for Lilith.

Look, you have no idea how much you've lifted my spirits; I had been biting my nails for over a month because I couldn't go see the currents that were practically arriving right outside my house. Thank you!

I return to the album after a few months of listening, and I have to say I’ve slightly changed my mind. Sure, I still believe it’s the worst in their discography, but after numerous listens, I’ve learned to appreciate its qualities, especially in some of Andrew's guitar riffs, which are of very high quality and succeed in uplifting many songs. The first half of the album is quite good (good in some instances), while the second half leaves much to be desired. I give it a four to average out with the three from a few months ago...
