By the way, does anyone know what happened to Anathema? Their new album has been supposed to come out for months, and they keep delaying it...

@FALLEN I might say something ridiculous now, but do you think there are parallels between black metal and punk concerning ideology? This question is also directed at all the other users, of course.

The initial reflection is not bad, but then you dove into a historical analysis that might be a bit "adventurous," and I think you got lost. However, the problem with this review is another one; it isn't a review at all. You don't describe the work but rather present the reflections it sparked in you. The issue is that this isn't a blog but a review site.

great job, among the favorites. The album is excellent, although I prefer Weiland, definitely with more accessible sounds.

Mmmh.... so, there would be a lot to say about this work and also about the review. The review is not poorly written, indeed, but in my opinion, you should have delved more into the musical component, mentioning the singer's voice (frankly awful); moreover, I'm not too convinced by the part where you analyze the lyrics (the one where you talk about death and suicide), I think you should have explored it a bit more, you stayed too surface-level, don’t be afraid of making the reviews too long especially because those interested in listening to this music aren't deterred by a lengthy review and are willing to “spend some time” to understand what the artist wants to communicate. I haven’t listened to the album, so I won’t comment on it, but I did listen to Dead Lovers' Sarabande, which I didn’t particularly like.
Oh, one thing for the site managers, clicking on the band’s name in this review takes you to the sapor aetUrnus page, while the band is actually called aetErnus (by the way, there are also other reviews under this name) perhaps it would be better to fix the link :)
