I had missed it...

I also think that S. refers to Freud; it is worth considering that the author, despite his interest in the studies of the Austrian psychologist, did not trust psychoanalysis (it should be noted that his brother-in-law committed suicide after being in psychoanalysis). This is why Dr. S. behaves in that way; it’s as if Svevo wants to cast a bad light on the work of the psychologist who, at the end of the therapy, feeling betrayed by his patient, has the autobiography published (an unacceptable behavior for a psychotherapist even at that time).

no no no!!!!!! my god no!!!!! I didn't really like the movie (especially since I was trying to impress the girl sitting next to me for the entire duration), I found it not very entertaining, especially compared to the previous Pixar film (Ice Age 3). Back to the review, I completely disagree with you, the beginning and the end of the film are the only parts that redeem it, as there is a story that breaks the usual mold and manages to engage both adults and children. Let's stop with this nonsense like: children shouldn't be exposed to the existence of death and loneliness, it's bullshit, generally children find out on their own, also thanks to the fantastic parents with the phobia that the world around them could harm the minds of their wonderful and intelligent offspring. I am convinced that children can only benefit from certain themes contained in this film, life is not made of happy endings, it is not filled with people who are always happy and smiling, and the children themselves know it, they aren’t even like that (unlike what we adults think with our stereotyped view of childhood). And come on, let’s think about Bambi, Snow White, Cinderella, up to Heidi, Lady Oscar, and the very sad and depressing Sweet Remi, what were they, cartoons that should be banned for minors?!
Novembers Doom Into Night's Requiem Infernal
Voto:
It may be, but this group has never convinced me; generally, I prefer a heavier and darker death doom, in the style of Mourning Beloveth and Officium Triste, almost funeral but not funeral... I've always found Novembers Doom a bit boring, neither here nor there with their attempt to mix doom, death, progressive sounds, and more. It usually ends up being something rather heterogeneous... it's always a matter of personal taste, though..!

stunning review, I was waiting for a review of this album that I've listened to very little and, from what I've heard, I didn't like it at all, I find very little depressive and sad about it. I think chapter V is better.
Italo Svevo La Coscienza Di Zeno

truly wonderful, the problem is its accessibility; it is not an easy book, and one needs to be aware of some "basics" of Freudian theory on the tripartition of the Self (as in all psychological novels, among other things). Without this knowledge, the book can seem soporific...

Swallow The Sun New Moon
Voto:
Well, I was expecting your review of Swallow the Sun and here it is! Done masterfully, as only you know how to do it, by the way. I’ll get the album soon, and I must say, it comforts me to know that at least Swallow the Sun, unlike most of the highly anticipated bands in 2009, have done a great job.
