I don't know, I only listened to it once probably distractedly and didn’t like it; I remember it as not very impactful and with a really low-quality production... the successor is a masterpiece.

About a year ago, I listened to an album by Fen; it was black metal infused with doom and post-rock. It wasn't bad, maybe a bit derivative but good...if anyone wants to give it a listen, feel free to do so ;)

Coil Moon's Milk (In Four Phases)

No, they are quite different from dark sanctuary, these are sepulchral and ethereal, the Elend of ethereal has very little (especially after the second album), musically they are different because they have made six albums that can be grouped into two cycles: in the first three they use both scream and clean vocals, synthesizers, all blended with heavy neoclassical orchestration (these albums are actually very apocalyptic and infernal rather than sepulchral like the DS); in the second cycle, however, they use chamber orchestration, electronics that now and then hint at industrial, and the sound takes on more epic and less infernal tones... anyway, there are quite a few reviews on deb, if I piqued your interest, take a look ;)

However, listening to white rainbow I must say that it’s a beautiful song. Have you ever listened to Elend?

Not to sound homophobic, but the metaphorical part about sodomy is quite unsettling...:/
