Are you going to see them in Milan and not tell me? Excellent review, really good album. A breath of fresh air.

Incredible film, especially thanks to a fantastic Mortensen (more than just commendable!). Let’s remember that films can have extraordinary plots and messages of great significance, but they are overshadowed by mediocre actors. On the other hand, outstanding performances can elevate the quality of the storyline.

Here you are again, Dario. I'm just happy about it. Go wild again!

"And he never criticized a film without first watching it," I must say, I hold on to my prejudice. I read today that he will try to secure a spot among the five nominees for Best Foreign Language Film at the Oscars. The other candidates were Bellocchio's "Vincere," Placido's "Il Grande Sogno," Giulio Manfredonia's "Si può Fare," and Marco Risi's "Fortapasc." Honestly, if it were up to me to choose, I would have sent one of the last two mentioned. The first one because it has an original story, it's unique. The second has a very different tone and absolutely deserves it. Unfortunately, we always have to send the same idea of Italian cinema; we must always bask in the same things when perhaps the diversity is there and is of excellent quality—one needs guts to value it!

Nonsense! You care, and quite a lot; you care because words, regardless of their origin, lead to knowledge and the breaking down of the wall of silence. They allow us to know realities that seem geographically close but, in truth, become very distant. Nobody expects to defeat the mafias with a song; no one ever will, but they are aware that they can lend a hand. Battles are won first and foremost at the moment they are acknowledged. The best example I have is that of the Impastato family, who, in order to win their battle for justice for their son (or brother), did everything they could to ensure that their case was known and reached the media spotlight. In 20 years, their drama, once confined to a circle of relatives and friends and unacknowledged by their fellow townspeople, has become an example throughout Italy of courage and virtue. There are countless similar cases, forgotten, and maybe it’s a song that will bring them to light. The mafia is fought with culture, ideas, and communication. Judges alone will never succeed, nor will citizens. Don’t think that others have not lived; there’s a risk that you take a path convinced you’re teaching them, only to find out that you have so much to learn.

"The Camorra (and the problems that come with it) should not be sung about," just one word: shame on you! It’s that fucked up mentality, especially in the North, that insists mafias do not exist and are only a problem for the southerners. I’ll share just this one true episode: the Municipality of Milan, in view of Expo 2015, decided to abolish the anti-mafia commission on contracts. Moratti justified this by saying it was impossible for there to be mafia infiltrations. The prosecutors in Milan are investigating reports coming from the DIA of Reggio Calabria because the bosses from Platì and other towns in the Locride, through their family ties in Milan, are finding a way to get their hands on the Expo. Moreover, the Casalesi also seem to be sensing a great opportunity and wouldn’t hesitate to divide Milan with the bosses of ‘ndrangheta. This is the reality, I’m sorry to tell you, but this is what’s happening. Anyone who tells, big or small, what the mafias are really about deserves to be heard. Otherwise, we’re living in silence. Respect to the Co' Sang, really talented. Review too sparse.

It's the usual story: when an important name in music returns and does so with some missing members from the original group, people complain about the use of the old name (truth be told, some people bring it upon themselves; like Brian May). It's music, that's all. I've listened to a couple of songs and I liked them; I'll have time to evaluate the whole album. The review is well done.

I have always enjoyed speaking highly of them, but I have never been able to digest this album; it's not that it's bad, but it has never captivated me.

Good job, concise summary but well done. P.S. Are you from Salerno?
