I frame the album with a solid 3.5; it is indeed a very close relative of the previous one without a "sultans of swing," but the band plays tightly and the tracks are all at least good!

Iside, what do you mean? Should they have merged the namesake with this for a single release, in your opinion?

The review is more than appreciable, full of good reasoning, but sometimes I don't agree with the conclusions you draw! For one, I don't find Brad Paisley to be a great country artist; rather, I think he’s a bit flat and doesn’t really "feel" what he plays. To be clear, I’ve only listened to his Time Well Wasted or something like that, which I approached with the best expectations and was hugely disappointed by; I found it to be a plastic album! I don't know how this sounds, but off the top of my head, I won’t make an effort to seek it out. Kudos to you for beautifully bringing back to Debaser a genre that (fortunately, as some colleagues above suggest, or unfortunately—I add myself) hasn’t had much luck on our site. I recommend to all genre lovers an album that I discovered right here on Debaser and that drives me crazy: The Fantastic Expedition of Dillard & Clark - Dillard & Clark.

The review is a (fair) tribute to the deeds and passion that have characterized the band since the '70s. The first 6 (5) albums are wonderful, then personally there's quite a noticeable dip, after having written important pages in the history of rock. I didn't feel this; intuitively, I doubt it could be a 4, but I hope to change my mind.

I can't quite picture what the sound of the album might be, but I'm sure it deserves at least a listen! Great job!
